Sarah Marshall – Quality, Risk and Compliance Coordinator – Access Your Supports Pty Ltd

Just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you.  The session was very useful for the cohort there and I can see how we may be able to continue to work with you regarding on-going, refresher training in this area as well as extending our training program to take in more of what your business offers.
You are a very engaging presenter and it’s so great to be in a session facilitated by someone with both a high degree of knowledge and experience as well as the ability to deliver that so effectively.
Thanks again and we look forward to working with you again.

Anthony Love – Operations Manager – Southern Stay Disability Services

For over 10 years now the staff at Southern Stay have utilised the services of Rod Catterall and Associates to assist in the implementation of therapeutic positive behaviour supports. During this time the staff have learnt crucial strategies and de-escalation techniques in dealing with high behaviours and behaviours of concern. After each session, which runs for almost a full day, the staff feel empowered and more confident to deal with participants and their various behaviours when they arise. We have found both Rod and Bernie very professional with their presentations and cover all bases when it comes to law, participants rights and the practical component is a very important part of the session as well. I would not hesitate in recommending Rod Catterall and Associates for all Behaviour support training needs.

Gregory Bramwell | Senior Consultant, Learning and Organisation Development | People & Culture – The Department of Health & Human Services, South Division

Has had a positive working relationship with Rod Catterall & Associates for the past 10 years. The professional manner in which various learning programs are tailored to meet our needs is a result of great team work and leadership within their organisation. We have engaged with Rod Catterall & Associates to deliver two key behaviour support programs over this period, namely: Positive Behaviour Support and Occupational Violence. In all instances the needs analysis, course design, implementation/delivery and evaluation has been exceptional with many staff providing positive feedback, articulating that the learning was the best they have attended in their career. I cannot speak highly enough of the work Rod Catterall and his team have done in the South Division community.

Residential Care Worker – MacKillop Family Services

The training I attended at MacKillop on evasive self defence was very educational & enjoyable, it gave me greater confidence and a framework with which to approach and manage potentially violent incidents and increased self assurance.

V. Vakakis / Parking Road Safety Officer – Moreland City Council

I just wanted to take a few minutes to say a very big thank you for the Baton Training day yesterday. I personally got so much out of it. I feel so much more confident and equipped to do after hours on call work. In saying that I also hope I never have to draw it out and use it. I found Rod the trainer to be so engaging and he was so respectful and always engaging. A pure gentleman and very professional.

J. Edlinger – Monash Youth & Family Services

I liked the fact that it focused on getting away & self preservation which is something most other courses dont cover, I think it was fantastic.

R. Hueston / Youth Worker – Moreland City Council Melbourne

The instructor from Rod Catterall & Associates did a great job it would be a pleasure to have them presenting our next workshop in anger management.

A.J Williams

Jodie’s and Rod’s DCAT Disability Cultural Awareness Training Workshop was amazing. It makes you think outside the box – Jody takes you on a journey through the training, seeing things from not only a cultural perspective but blends this with the unseen issues of gender identity and disability.

L. Clarke, Acting Manager – Connections

I would like to thank you for the great training session that was provided to Connections on Tuesday this week. All staff who attended the session found it most useful and very informative.  This is such a grey area in regards to what people can and cannot do, and to have Bernie from the Rod Catterall & Associates come in and talk was reassuring to the staff and affirmed a lot of the teaching the Connections PBS group has been working with the greater Connections team, in regards to developing understanding in, i.e. self, environment, triggers, the role of a BSP and what is a restrictive practice etc.. All staff reported that Bernie was a great facilitator. So once again thank you and please thank Bernie, I will be taking the group feedback to the next Oakleigh Centre Managers Meeting and advising that all departments include this training in their training package for all staff next year.

Sharon – Behaviour Support Practitioner

Your half day Positive Behaviour Support Online Course was a very thorough course and well written. I have previously done a 5 day course with another company and their training didn’t contain any more content than yours. So your course was by far more cost effective and had very good resources compared to the other company. Thanks again Rod.

B. Sartori (Youth Activities Services Worker) – Good Shepherd Victoria

I am writing to express my complete satisfaction with “Rod Catterall & Associates”. The sessions were conducted in a most professional manner, both flexible and responsive to the identified needs of the young people participating. The instructors were supportive and managed to build rapport with a diverse range of participants who are often difficult to fully engage.

Admin & Reception – MacKillop Family Services

My confidence and knowledge in dealing with potentially violent situations has improved after participating in training on evasive self defence recently at MacKillop. The trainer Rod made it enjoyable and kept me interested all day.
