Janice Mandara

CBCA Consultant & Therapeutic Specialist

Janice is a registered art therapist and works with both individual children/adults and groups. She trained in Melbourne and Vancouver, Canada and has worked in a variety of settings including primary and secondary schools, family agency, hospital, community settings, women’s prison and from an art studio in private practice. Janice has spent many years in regional Victoria working with Bendigo Health carers and designed and developed programs incorporating mindfulness, creative arts and stress management. She has an interest in supporting others to initiate self care and integrating the healing of trauma. Her trauma informed practice utilises a person centred approach, drawing on numerous art therapy interventions, weaving a somatic awareness and transformative therapeutic techniques suited to individual sessions and small groups.

  • Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy V.A.T.I.
  • Initiatic Art Therapy Training for Professionals
  • Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Human Services
  • Art Therapy Supervision Skills for Health Professionals

  • Professional Registration with ANZACATA-Australia, New Zealand and Asia Creative Arts Therapies Association and Working with Children Check.
