Person Centred Active Support Training Australia Wide

Person Centred Active Support Training (PCAS)

Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) is an evidence-based approach that helps staff provide the right level of support to people with disability—promoting independence, participation, choice, and quality of life. Rather than doing tasks for a person, staff learn how to support individuals to be actively involved in everyday activities, routines, decision-making, and community participation.

This training helps support workers build practical skills to deliver person-centred care that aligns with individual goals, abilities, communication styles, and preferences. PCAS is widely recognised as best practice within disability services and supports the principles of choice, control, dignity of risk, and self-determination.
